My Life, Josephine, The Future

I was raised protestant in the Midwest by two loving parents and one brother, Terry. BS degree in Business and worked various sales jobs, most of my life. I have a very positive attitude and love life and it’s many blessings. I became a Catholic just before Covid and had the Visitations shortly after this time. My wife’s cancer, Covid, and becoming Catholic — all in a 6 month period.

Enter Josephine. I was a salesman for Coty Cosmetics and fragrances. “Jo” was a high energy, joyful sales girl with lots of personality at a pharmacy on the west side Chicago suburbs. I had quite an adventure courting my 100% Italian wife. I quickly learned the strong spirit of my wife, and her decision making in the family. Soon we had two boys and Jo finished her Masters degree in Social Work. Jo’s warm and caring soul influenced many people over our nearly 50 years of marriage. We made a good team in our many life’s adventures. We enjoyed a life filled with countless blessings.

After retiring from her social work career and traveling the world, we settled down in northern Indiana near our older son, Ricky and his wife Sarah.

Jo passed away in December 2019. Cancer shortened our life together but her positive attitude lives on.

The Future — The adjustment of being on your own is difficult, but strong memories help a lot. Friends, family, household projects, gardening, art, Church, and the crazy Corvid restrictions on life keep me busy. And now this Heaven directed “job” assignment. Heaven is keeping me very busy and I’m loving it. I’m excited to be a part of what is happening.
